Properties
Sodium dichromate is also called sodium bichromate, its molecular formula is Na2Cr2O7·2H2O, with relative molecular weight of 297.99. Its dihydrate appears in orange red monoclinic prismatic or acicular crystallization, and turns into copper brown anhydride after dehydration in 84.6℃. It is a strong oxidizer, soluble in water, insoluble in alcohol, easy to absorb moisture and deliquescent.
Application
The main applications are dyeing, tanning, chemicals, pharmaceuticals, electro-plating and so on.
